This was an afternoon filled with good friends, sandwiches from the shop in town and a warm sun - a perfect summer weekend and 'Captain Chris', an old friend making me feel at home as always.

The Fish Out of Water series began with a trip to Iceland. I was only in the country for a 24 hour layover but I got to explore the vibrant city of Reykjavik with its culinary delights, quirky mural scene and of course its rugged beauty. I have always had a love of the ocean and I stopped to take a few photographs of the big ocean going vessels getting fresh coats of paint in the dry docks and it was there that I came up with a new series of work - Fish Out of Water!
